Hey! Truth!

I’m not a blogger.

Nobody really reads my posts except my girlfriend and people that I point in this direction.

Those thousands of reads took a long time to accumulate.

A while after I posted about Lost, I immediately felt bad; I felt like I only posted that because it appealed to other people.

It wasn’t really important to me, Lost; I mean, I thought the finale and the hype surrounding it was awesome, but I only got into it because other people were into it.

It’s just, when I try to sit down and type, I can’t think of anything.

It’s not writer’s block.

I know what writer’s block feels like, and this isn’t it.

It’s more…

It’s more like being in a class with a great teacher, great classmates, and a brilliant syllabus…

… But not being interested in the subject matter at all.

WordPress is awesome (although I’m pretty sure it has blocked about 100 real comments as spam), and I am both surprised that more people don’t use it and pleased that I’ve inspired people into it.

I’ve had a lot of fun “branding” “Hey Deaf Kid,” which lead to Gmail, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube (augh), and I’m sure other things that I’ve forgotten about (Blippy?).

And some of my posts are really good to look back on, or to type, in general.

So there are positives.

But I feel like

  • I’ve lost interest, and am now just forcing myself to do this.
  • I’ve placed focus on the “deaf” part of me, even though the whole point is to prove that life is the same whatever for everybody. I don’t want people to see my email or Twitter with “deaf” associated with it. A name should represent me as a whole. So, mistake on my part.
  • Now that I’m halfway done with college, I should start lowering my presence on the internet.

So.

That’s where I’m at.

I usually have a small part at the bottom of my posts about “for all two or three people that read this.”

This post is kinda that whole line in itself, isn’t it?

Mike and Mike in the Morning is on.

Damn, it’s early.

Or late.
